3 points that are crucial when choose thermal-break aluminum windows and doors

The function of Thermal-break aluminum profile mainly depends on basic material, coating (surface treatment) and cavity design.

let me further explain：

A: Basic material can be divided into two categories:  Primary aluminum and recycled aluminum. 6063-T5 primary aluminum is the best basic material, which has high strength and good toughness.  there is a big difference in cost and performance between primary aluminum and recycled aluminum, that is why the quotations you got from different suppliers for some certain windows and doors with all the same parameters look so different in terms of price.

B: Coating (surface treatment) can be divided into 3 categories:

1.powdered coating, it is a surface treatment of the lowest cost.

2.Thermal transfer printing, whose treatment cost is of an intermediate level.    

3.PVDF coating is the most expensive way of surface treatment at present.

Maybe at first you can not tell the difference among the three immediately, but you will definitely find it after using it for 5 years or more.

C: Cavity design. The wall thickness of the profile and the complexity of the cavity determine the cost of the window aluminum profile, which complement each other.  A strong factor alone does not mean that the cost is high. The wall thickness and the complexity of the cavity combined together determine the thermal insulation performance. If the wall thickness of a window profile is thick, but the cavity structure is simple, its cost may even be lower than anther profile whose wall is thinner but cavity structure is more elaborated.

To recap, you must get all these above mentioned key points clear with your suppliers before you make the purchases.
