The future in protecting our feathery friends is in the technology of bird-friendly glass, last November, the NYC Department of Building issued its guidance document on requiring buildings to use bird-friendly glass in compliance with LL15. Bird glass will be required for and new construction and existing buildings up to or over 75 feet. This glass will bring off a pattern that birds can see so it will prevent them from flying into the window ultimately saving birds that migrate and fly through NYC.
