Apart from aluminum profile, glass is another important factor of the quality of Aluminum windows and doors. Here I’d like to illustrate two crucial points of Glass.

A) Clear glass

Do you know the difference between ordinary clear glass and ultra clear glass?

1. The iron content of ordinary clear glass is 1/1000, and that of ultra clear glass is 1/10000. The higher the iron content, the greener the glass will be.

2. Ultra clear glass has higher light transmittance of more than 91.5%, thus having better field of vision, while the light transmittance of ordinary glass is lower at between 82-83%.

3. The self-smash rate of ordinary clear glass is 3/1000, while that of ultra white glass is 1/1000.

4. The price of ultra clear glass is higher than that of ordinary clear glass

B) Causes of fogging of hollow glass

Some people adopted insulating glass, but after a long time, they found that there was fog inside, what caused it and how to deal with it?

hollow glass is two pieces of glass with heat insulation strips in the middle, and then sealed with glue. Standard hollow glass is pressed by the factory's pressing machine. The process of glue-sealing is fully automatic. but the glass you might have bought from a small workshop who connected the two pieces of glass manually is impossible to be firm, not to mention sound insulation and heat insulation. Qualified insulating glass is made of two layers of glue, butyl glue inside and sealant outside. The colors of the two kinds of glue are different, which is easy to distinguish. So when the situation happen that the inside of the glass is foggy, you have to consider changing this piece of glass.
